Representatives from the ScottishPower Energy People Trust visited The Action for Children project, which was awarded £30,444 in April 2013.
By assessing the impact fuel poverty is having on the families ability to manage their resources and provide sufficient heating within the family home, the dedicated project worker identifies and introduces families to energy efficiency advice and avenues of support that might alleviate fuel poverty and maximise their income.
Ann Loughrey, Company Secretary and Trustee of the ScottishPower Energy People Trust, said: “It was a great experience to meet with staff from Action for Children today and see how the money from the ScottishPower Energy People Trust has been put to excellent use in the local community. Thanks to this funding, Action for Children project has helped local people by providing advice to those who are vulnerable in the community. We are delighted to support the Perthshire Families project.”
