This new project will work alongside the Solihull Winter Warmth Campaign and will develop a volunteer network to promote affordable warmth and deliver energy efficiency advice and crisis intervention within the local community. The creation of a new post of Energy Volunteer Development Officer for a 3 year period will lead to a trained army of Energy Volunteers who will act as peer mentors providing advice and support in the homes of those most vulnerable, assisting in all areas of energy efficiency advice, tariff optimisation, income maximisation and will ultimately work towards reducing the number of those living in fuel poverty.
