The Affordable Warmth in Argyll 2012 project follows on from, and will build on, the success of their previous Affordable Warmth in Argyll (AWA) project, which was funded by SPEPT between November 2009 and October 2011. The project will provide advice, assistance and hand holding support to vulnerable households in Argyll, to help them to move out of fuel poverty and to improve the condition and energy efficiency of their homes. It will also raise awareness of fuel poverty issues; encourage and support private sector landlords to improve the energy efficiency of their housing stock and offer training to front line health and social care staff and carer/community support groups so that they can recognise vulnerable people in fuel poverty, offer support and refer them to ALIenergy for specialist help.
