Bolton Primary Health Care Trust is requesting funding for their fuel poverty project, Working in the Health Sector. The project is aimed at the long term sick who are more likely to experience the effects of fuel poverty. The worker will develop links with all of the 53 local GP surgeries to deliver advice and information sessions to raise awareness/offer solutions to the issues of fuel poverty. The project will develop links with a range of key stakeholders to provide a full range of services to alleviate fuel poverty including income maximisation. A full energy efficiency officer will be employed for two years.
