The Castle Advice Service is requesting funding to employ a worker for two years to develop a service to families in Sheffield. 30% of the population in the Sheffield area live in the most deprived areas of England. The worker will provide comprehensive advice to help families maximise their income, this will include benefit health checks and energy efficiency advice. The Income Maximisation and Debt Advice for Families with Children in Fuel Poverty project already provides this service in the area but require additional resource to meet the increasing demand on the service.
