The Children & Families, Family Fuel project will have two strands, providing a comprehensive approach to fuel poverty:1. Energy Efficiency Packs: would be made available to families with pre-school aged children in Swale through children's centres located in those areas of greatest poverty. Packs would contain basic energy efficiency literature, light bulbs, draft proofing tape etc designed to help provide some basics for improving a home's energy efficiency and encourage further investment by the family.
2. Money & Benefits Advice: is a service we have provided to families with young children and is something desperately needed at this time. This would be an intensive outreach service providing bespoke advice to parents to ensure they are accessing the benefits they are entitled to and giving basic money management advice to help families manage their household budget.
