The Family Power Project will empower vulnerable lone parent families living within Glasgow to reduce their fuel consumption, escape from fuel poverty and debt and be better prepared for the current DWP requirement that they seek employment when their youngest child is 5 years of age.
We will do this by providing lone parent hubs in local areas within Glasgow. Through these Hubs lone parents will be able to access: Fuel Awareness workshops, Fuel Awareness information packs and fact sheets, Income Maximisation through Choices OPFS specialist Money and Debt advice and Welfare Rights services, lone parent Help and Advice line, confidence building, planning for the future and employability courses.
