Community Service Volunteers are requesting funding to ensure they can continue their Home Energy Efficiency Teams project across Scotland. The project seeks to recruit and train volunteers from the retired population to provide energy efficiency advice to communities and individuals vulnerable to fuel poverty. The volunteers will deliver energy efficiency advice surgeries to local community groups to generate referrals to provide in-depth 1-2-1 energy efficiency advice in the home. The project will develop stakeholder networks within the local communities to ensure that the success of the project and help target the right groups. The project will run for 1 year and fund 1 full time and 1 part time worker.
