The project aims to provide children in Fife with a better start in life by helping their families to stay warm and comfortable while spending a lower portion of their income on fuel. It will build on the success of the Canny Budgeting project, which advised people on household bills management, with a particular emphasis on energy costs. An Energy Adviser will be appointed to offer tailored energy advice and support, make referrals for benefit and tax credits, income maximisation, welfare advice and specialist services.
