Northern Oak Credit Union wish to appoint and train a Home Heat Helper to support those struggling with fuel bills through a mix of one to one advice, referrals to other agencies for energy efficiency measures, special tariffs for vulnerable people and income maximisation services. Uniquely, the service will be delivered from a Mobile Service Point – a van equipped as an office which makes services accessible for some of the most vulnerable members of the community. The project will specifically help low income families in who are financially excluded from mainstream financial services and are struggling to pay their fuel bills.
