The project will employ an additional welfare rights worker on a part time basis specifically to work with lone parents with fuel debts. This will complement the work of the SCOOP Aid Ltd existing welfare rights service.Currently their welfare rights service delivers advice and advocacy on benefits, CSA, housing and tax credits. The worker will also liase with Sheffield City Council to ensure that lone parents access local schemes for loft insulation and other energy saving schemes.
