Stirling Citizens Advice Bureau - Fuel Poverty Maximisation

The Stirling CAB project proposes to recruit a Fuel Power Maximisation Worker on a part time basis to identify and support families and elderly people suffering fuel poverty. The Fuel Poverty Worker (FPW) will have the following tasks: Run benefit checks to maximise income; Give debt advice for utility debts; Support clients in grant applications and accessing special fuel tariffs where available; Refer clients to relevant organisations that can help with fuel efficiency measures and provide advice, information and advocacy in cases where the tenancy / housing is unfit for human habitation as a result of extortionate fuel costs or dampness / mould growth.
