This project aims to reach out to vulnerable households in Southampton to provide advice and practical help with home energy, helping to keep people warm and lift them out of fuel poverty, to reduce the risk of fuel poverty by supporting people who are moving home and to mitigate the effects of fuel poverty by supporting vulnerable households. The services will be made available to low income households with young children or other vulnerabilities due to ill health or disability, and will largely be targeted at people in private rented accommodation and will be promoted via workshops, community events, a free home visiting service and appointment advice surgeries.
