To provide a comprehensive programme of energy efficiency and fuel poverty advice, specifically targeting at risk groups including young families and the elderly.Delivery of a series of presentations, roadshows and street events providing information primarily on energy efficiency and fuel poverty, making use of our interactive “Energy Explorer” bus. Deliver a series of primary and secondary school educational activities on energy efficiency. Provide a freephone helpline to give advice (all staff possess the nationally recognised National Energy Action qualification) and run a referral scheme to local insulation companies with access to CERT (Carbon Emissions Reduction Target) and other national funding streams.Bespoke training to front line staff of, for example, local authorities and primary care trusts who make home visits as part of their everyday work, to be able to recognise where a person may be in fuel poverty. In partnership with a local charity who support disadvantaged people to fulfil their potential by finding employment, we will provide funding to employ one FTE for ca. 45 weeks over the two years of the programme to carry out loft clearances.
