The Haven Wolverhampton

The Haven is currently managing a successful project funded through the Nationwide Foundation which provides specialist financial management support to vulnerable women affected by domestic violence, financial abuse and homelessness in the City of Wolverhampton. They have identified a need to develop specific and specialist provision for refuge and community clients which addresses both immediate fuel debt and longer term energy based financial management. Based on the identified need and current gaps in provision, the project for which they are applying will have specific focus on relieving / preventing fuel poverty by providing specialist financial management support to women (and their children) affected by domestic / financial abuse and homelessness in the City of Wolverhampton. The proposed project meets a combination of the crisis, income maximisation and energy efficiency criteria and will support vulnerable women and their children building new homes and new lives.
